worth, worthy

这两者用法的区别在于:worth是介词,不能作定语,作表语时后面必须接名词性词组; worthy是形容词,可用作定语,作表语时后面接“of＋名词”或动词不定式。

worth, merit, value, virtue

这几个词都可以表示“价值”。merit通常指人为价值,所评论的事物本身也许比真实的价值高; value指“价值,意义”,含有excellent的意味; virtue通常指对人、物的“好处,优越性”; worth通常指人们估计的价值比其本身的价值高。

worth，value

这两个名词均有“价值”之意。

worth与value近义，但前者强调事物本身的价值。

value侧重指使用价值，着重人、物或事所具有的重要性、用途或优秀品质等。

worth，worthy，worthwhile

这些词均可表“值得的”之意。

worth前置词，后接名词或相当于名词的词，指做某事有一定价值或意义。

worthy形容词，与worth同义，但搭配不相同。

worthwhile形容词，用作表语或定语，指某事物是值得的，或某事是值得做的。
