摘要：Access to a network resource, such as an Internet web site, may be controlledby a server receiving requests for the web site and responding by presenting users with asurvey question that must be answered before site access is permitted. The users of theweb site may be members of a virtual community corresponding to a business,
educational institution, or other organization providing the web site. Thus, the web siteprovider may gather demographic, user preferences, and other information relevant totheir business or organization. The content and number of survey questions that a usermay be required to answer may depend on factors including user information, previoususer responses, and the content of the web site or other requested resources.
