摘要：Yttria stabilized zirconia materials are sintered using low temperature liquidphase sintering techniques. A fugitive sintering aid, lanthana borate, is combined with theyttria stabilized zirconia in sufficient amounts to effect the liquid phase sintering. Thematerial is sintered by heating to about 1390° C. for a duration of about two hours. Theresulting sintered yttria stabilized zirconia is characterized by a fine microstructure andimproved low temperature stability.
