摘要：A support assembly (1) for a bed comprising rails (2), slats (3) and, preferably, abrace (120). The support assembly is constructed to maximise strength whilst minimisingweight of the bed and may preferably be assembled in situ without the need for tools.The rails are formed with a ledge portion (5) supported by a buttress portion (6) formaximising strength and the brace may be formed of a 'U'-shaped section withattachable clasps (150) for supporting the slats. The slats are formed with camber (14,15) to allow for flexing and pre-tensioning.
