沉樱作为现代文学史上第二代女作家，无论是当时还是现在都不算杰出或知名，然而她的创作却有自己的特色，坎坷的婚恋经历使她特别执着于婚恋小说的创作，她以女性敏锐的观察与感悟捕捉女性婚恋中真实的生命体验，通过审视两性关系的状况，对男性世界进行理性的分析与批判，在此基础上进行女性生存意义、女性解放之路的寻找。本论文以沉樱婚恋小说为主要研究对象，并通过和同时期一些女作家作品的比较，从思想内容方面对沉樱婚恋小说进行意义的挖掘和寻找。
第一章 主要介绍沉樱的两次失败的婚姻经历，认为正是这样的生活体验，直接影响着她对于小说创作题材的选择以及创作心态，更重要的是作者的女性意识、性别意识也是在这个时候得以确立，并表现在她的婚恋小说的创作中。
第二章 主要对婚恋中女性的心理进行观察与体验，对女性在恋爱婚姻中的空寂、焦虑的心态给予关注，同时认为文中女性对于自我身体及欲望的发现与表述在同时期作家中显得异常突出。
第三章 主要对婚恋中两性关系的状况进行分析，并在此基础上展开对男性的审视与批判，认为男女两性关系因为气质、品性等性别差异呈现不平衡的倾斜状态，在思考其原因时注意到男权思想对女性及两性关系构成的影响和伤害。
第四章 主要结合女性生存方式及生活状态，探索女性的生存价值和意义，认为作为娜拉出走的第一步：走出封建家庭、追求自由爱情的女性解放方式已经失去其神圣性和伟大性，而娜拉目前所面临的主要问题是如何实现自我的社会价值，如何坚持其独立的人格尊严，而对于两性和谐、两性解放问题的涉及则显出其超前意识。
