本课程是高职高专教育的一个有机组成部分,是高职高专学生的一门必修的基础课程。 本课程体现了当前英语教学是以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内 容,以外语教学理论为指导,并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。
本课程共分四个学期,256个学时。旨在培养学生较强的阅读能力和一定的听、说、写、 译的能力,使他们能用英语交流信息,能借助词典阅读和翻译有关英语业务资料,在涉外交 际的tl常活动和业务活动屮进行简单的口头和书面交流,并帮助学生打下扎实的语言基础, 掌握良好的语言学习方法,提高文化素质,以适应社会发展和经济建设的需要.
本课程通过基本句式的听、说、读、写、译等基本技能的训练,及重视提高阅读基本技 能训练和语法应用能力,继续进行听、说、读、写、译的综合训练,并服务于培养学生实际 的运用英语能力这一最终目标。
