摘要：A method and system for aligning a tracking beam and a high energy laser (HEL)beam (18) includes a tracking beam and a HEL beam. A detector (30) receives at least aportion of the tracking beam, wherein the tracking beam received at the detector hasbeen reflected from the airborne target. The detector also receives a first portion and asecond portion of the HEL beam prior to output through a housing (26). A processor (34)processes the signals to determine a relationship between the tracking beam and theHEL beam; and generates a control signal to steer the HEL beam to the airborne targetbased upon the determined relationship.
