少年才俊，“传统文化”与“西学潮”充实了他的人生底蕴，“请作布雷鸣”，译孙中山《告友邦人士书》使他一举成名；横溢的才华，令蒋介石倾慕，著作等身，却未留下片言只语；与世无争，终难能善 始善终，“愚忠”，枉要了他的身家性命。读他，读他才华横溢的一生，读他，读他悲剧精彩的一生……他，就是蒋氏“文胆”陈布雷。
陈布雷（1890－1948年），名训恩，字彦及，笔名布雷，畏垒。生于浙江慈溪县（现属余姚市）。才华出众，20多岁就在报界享有盛誉，抗战时期，陈布雷用如椽之笔，写出了多篇激扬民族志气的不朽文章，是国民党的“领袖文胆”和“总裁智囊”，素有国民党第一支笔之称。他是中国近代历史上一位很受关注而颇有争议的人物。陈布雷作为蒋家王朝的“大内御笔”主要具备这样两个条件：一是他有非凡的才华，以才为进；一是他更符合蒋介石的道德标准：“忠”和“奴”，他能绝对忠诚地侍奉主子而不计功名利禄。正如他自己所言：“蒋是火车头，拉着国民党的火车，在不平的路基上跑的太快，左右摇摆太厉害时，我便紧急‘刹车’,使之速度稍减，保持平衡。”①（陈阳凤 丁美华《蒋氏“文胆”陈布雷》前言 第4页 湖南人民出版社 2009年3月1日）。在蒋介石拖拉的火车上，陈布雷作为“大内”人物二十多年，不但未因政治生活的残酷倾轧淘汰，相反，他的地位越来越稳固。但是，这样一个忠诚的臣子却选择了一条封建士大夫的不归路。

陈布雷的文胆生涯要从他的文采说起。1911年，陈布雷进入上海《天铎报》，他才华出众，勤勉敬业，很快成为上海报界的著名记者。其间，他撰写了大量拥护辛亥革命的时评，反对封建帝制，宣扬共和精神，影响很大；孙中山先生代表临时政府用英文起草的《对外宣言》，就是由年轻的陈布雷翻译成中文最先在《天铎报》上发表的。几年后，陈布雷转到《商报》做编辑主任，不遗余力地揭露北洋军阀的腐败统治。1927年，他与潘公展同至南昌见蒋介石，同年加入国民党，国共两党通力合作挥师北伐后，蒋介石很需要身边有支笔杆子可供自己驱使。享有声望的陈布雷是理想人选。北伐军刚到南昌，蒋介石就派邵子力去上海邀请陈布雷去南昌晤谈。为延揽人才，蒋介石表现出谦逊姿态，陈布雷为蒋介石的“礼贤下士”所感动，不久即为他起草了《告黄埔同学书》。抗战时期，是陈布雷人生的一个高峰。在一次抗战演讲中，他说:“我们的东四省失陷，已有六年之久……现在冲突地点已到了北平门口的卢沟桥。如卢沟桥可以受人压迫强占，我们五百年古都的北平，就要变成沈阳第二，今日的冀察亦将成昔日的东四省，北平若变成沈阳，南京又何尝不可能变成北平……如放弃尺寸土地与主权，便是中华民族的千古罪人。那时候只有拼民族的

作为一个“忠臣”，在他任职期间，他曾参与起草过一些反共方面的文章，作出过一些违心事，替蒋编织过谎言，最典型的是为蒋编写《西安半月记》。关于西安事变，陈布雷知道张学良、杨虎城原为抗日而兵谏，并无“弑君”、“篡权”之意，也听说了一些蒋在惊慌中跳窗逃至山后的狼狈情节。但蒋介石向他面授此书的纲目时，却把张、杨说成是犯上作乱的叛逆，美化自己在危难中镇定自若，对下属晓以大义，使之幡然悔悟，才得以转危为安……陈布雷无法违拗蒋的旨意，只得惟命是从，但内心里却十

陈布雷一生清正廉洁，与世无争，却难以善始善终。他并没有“跟随”国民党骄奢淫逸的作风，他一生都只专注于中国的统一，纵使后期自己的意见与蒋介石相驳，他也没有背叛国民党。这样一个忠臣，知道错在哪，却因封建士大夫的愚忠思想禁锢，始终在道德与忠义间挣扎。当国共合作的呼声高涨时，他清楚的认识到合作的必要性，但一次次劝谏，却被蒋介石的“先生，您累了，您该休息了”一一否定而这却被心思细腻的陈布雷看成是自己不被需要，不被信任的表现。身心的挣扎，身体的虚弱折磨着这个蒋介石身边的“红人”。陈布雷有一个非常喜爱的女儿名叫陈链，乳名“怜儿”，但性格相似的父女两人却选择了不同的道路，陈链长大后加入了共产党，但陈布雷并未多加斥责。然而这父女二人却都逃不开自杀的命运，不被理解，内心的挣扎，让他们选择了一条不归路。
看完了整部书，虽然对他的死有着惋惜。但在我看来，我还是不能认同他的做法。到底是什么原因促使陈布雷厌世呢？他追随蒋介石，为蒋介石出谋划策，参与蒋介石制定方略，实指望蒋家王朝能在中国长久而光大。但是，局势完全出乎他的意料，他悲愤而死。他是为蒋介石而死，他不能背叛蒋介石，虽然他清楚蒋家王朝已快要覆灭。

因此，没落腐朽的封建士大夫观念，最终断送了陈布雷。在文章中提到，当蒋家开始没落时，有人报着不成功便成仁的决心，准备与共产党与决一死战；有人烧毁或捆扎卷宗，打算跟蒋介石去台湾；更有人悄悄地把财产和家眷送到海外，准备弃政、弃军从商；还有人盘算向共产党投降。唯独陈布雷，在他坚守的“忠臣不事二主”、“烈女不嫁二夫”的封建主义观念下，决心以“死节”“殉主”。这个既忠又奴又弱不禁风的陈布雷，这个才华横溢的江南才子，原以为唯此可留名节以千古，殊不知，最终只能孤零零地横卧于杭州九溪十八涧口，“功钩一生，黄土一抔”陪伴他的只是那块连带的同等孤独的青石墓碑。
你的才华，让人折服；你的品质，令人敬佩；陈布雷，一个才子，在一个动荡浮沉的年代最终以悲情的方式谢幕，留以后世无尽的哀思……
