The Great Wall of China is known to people all over the world.It is called”The Ten-Thousand-Li Great Wall”in Chinese.Do you know the famous Chinese saying”He who does not reach the Great Wall is not a true man”?
This summer holiday,my friends and I visited the Great Wall.We got there early by bus and I felt excited when I was standing on the Great Wall.The great wall is famous for man-made wonder in the world.It has a long history of over 2,000 years.In most places,it is wide enough for five horses or ten man walking side by side along the top.
There were lots of visitors.That day we not only enjoyed the beauty of the Great Wall,but also were proud of it.
2.春节
In China Spring Festival comes on the first day of the first lunar month.It is the most important festival.
Before Spring Festival comes,we go out to buy things,such as meat,chicken,fish,fruit,sweets and new clothes.We clean their houses.We think cleaning can sweep the bad luck.
On the eve of the festival,the family get together and have a big meal happily.At midnight,we set off firework to welcome the new year.
During the festival,kids get luck money as a New Year gift,we wear our new clothes and visit relatives and friends.We wish each other a happy year and good luck.
The festival is full of love and fun.We feel really happy and wonderful. 3.Nick的励志故事

This Saturday,my parents will go to Shanghai on business and I am going yo stay at home alone.
I love being home alone,because I don’t always want to depend on my parents.I think I’m old enough to take good care of myself now.
During my stay at home,I plan to tidy up my bedroom and wash my clothes in the morning.As for lunch,I will make a simple meal for myself.It is not difficult for me to cook simple meals.And in the afternoon,I am going to do my homework first,and then watch TV.
Although I’ve never stayed at home alone before,I want to have a try.I’m sure I will succeed and my parents will be happy when they see that I can look after myself.Now,I’m looking forward to this wonderful day. 5.阅览室的规章制度
Attention please!I’d like to tell you something about the rules of school reading room.
The reading room opens at 8:00 a.m. and11:30a.m. On Saturday.When you are in the reading room,you should keep it clean and quiet.You are not allowed(允许) to read loudly or have snacks.And you aren’t allowed to smoke or use your mobile phone.When you finish reading,you must put them back where you take.
One more thing,you mustn’t take the books or magazines out of the reading room.I hope everyone can obey the rules so that we can have a good place to do some reading.Thank you.

1.写作基础还不错的孩子，在文中应该多多使用复合句，多用连词来连接句子。看以下两个句子，你觉得那个更好？ ①She is a nice teacher.Her students all like her.
②She is such a nice teacher that her students all like her.
很显然第二句复合句比第一句简单句好很多。所以孩子们，你们记得要多使用以下词语：so（such）…that，because,so,but,although（though）,as soon as,when,while,not only…but also…，if等。 还应该多多使用谚语，使文章显得比较有深度，所以应该熟记以下谚语，并在合适的书面表达中使用。表达方式如：As an old saying goes,”________”或者There is an old saying,”__________” 中学生常用英语谚语： 1.Time flies. 光阴似箭. 6.Never say \"die'. 永远不要说\" 完了\". 2.
