摘要：The invention is directed to a method for producing a novel flexographicprinting sleeve which is readily axially mountable on and dismountable from acomplementary shaped printing cylinder. The subject method comprises providing an

apparatus for receiving a sprayed curable polymeric material and for forming theflexographic printing sleeve. Then, the curable polymeric material is sprayed onto theapparatus and a flexographic printing sleeve is formed. The sleeve has a substantiallyunitary, non-laminated construction which is self-supporting. The cross-sectional innerand outer diameter of the flexographic printing sleeve is expandable by introducing arelatively low pressure fluid between the inner surface of the printing body sleeve andthe outer cylindrically-shaped wall of the printing cylinder. The flexographic printingsleeve is contractible from its expanded position by releasing the low pressure fluid. Thestructural integrity of the flexographic printing sleeve is resistant to substantial damageor distortion.
