The below described machine tool have following configuration: 机床配置描述如下:
- Channel 1 (universal head management) - 通道1 (万能磨头管理)
- Channel 2 ( tangential head management ) - 通道2 (周边磨头管理)
- Y Axis (universal head transversal axis) managed in channel 1 - Y 轴(万能磨头的横轴),被通道1管理
- Z Axis (universal head vertical axis ) managed in channel 1 - Z 轴(万能磨头的纵轴),被通道1管理
- B Axis (universal head revolving axis ) managed in channel 1 - B 轴(万能磨头旋转轴),被通道1管理

managed in channel 1. This axis must be synchronized at each switching on of machine. Perform the synchronization procedure described on page 85 before you move the crossrail!
- W 轴 (龙门轴,利用两台电机联动驱动横梁运动),被通道1控制。在驱动横梁前,此轴必须与机床系统同步,执行本手册85页所描述的同步程序。 - X Axis (hydraulic table axis) managed in both channels. - X 轴(液控工作台轴),两个通道控制。
During adjustment cycles performance, channel display is automatic.
Any program, also for the tangential head, must be selected and started in channel 1. 在调整循环特性时,自动显示通道。

DESCRIPTION OF THE 810D-840D MENU
西门子810D – 840D菜单说明
By pressing the MENU key on the SINUMERIK push-button panel, you access to different submenus.
在西门子控制板上按MENU 按钮,可以进入子菜单。 - PARAMETERS MENU 参数菜单
R parameters, setting data, tool calibrators, origin displacements, local and global variables are displayed.
To use the machine, you do not need to know this menu.
R 参数,数据设置,砂轮校准器,参考点位移,本地和全程变量的显示,机床正常操作时不需要了解这个菜单。
- PROGRAMS MENU 程序菜单
This menu enables the user programs and subprograms to be displayed and/or processed. As property of FAVRETTO S.p.A., fixed machining cycles are protected by password. The user management already contains a workpiece program called FAVRETTO where all the programs created by the machine operator are stored, and a program called ISO where all the ISO grinding wheels created by the user have to be stored.
此菜单中可以显示(运行中的)的程序或子程序。固定的加工循环归FAVRETTO.S.p.A公司所有,因此有密码保护。USER程序管理中包括一个FAVRETTO 工件程序,在这里保存着所有由机床操作者编制的程序,和一个ISO砂轮库。 - SERVICES MENU 服务菜单
In this menu, the data transmission is controlled by a series line and the software file (PLC-NC-MMC).
To use the machine, you do not need to know this menu.

This menu is for the maintenance personnel.
Here all the messages, the alarms on the machine, the PLC status and the axes service page are displayed.

This menu is for FAVRETTO or SIEMENS personnel. 此菜单只能由FAVRETTO 或西门子的专业人员操作。 - USER MENU 用户菜单
Graphic menu to support the machine programming, developed by FAVRETTO.
This menu allows the operator to set all the parameters on the desired machining fast and to save working cycles.
FAVRETTO 公司开发的图像界面,有助于更好的理解和操作机床。 该菜单允许操作者快速设定理想的加工参数并保存加工循环。

PARAMETER SETTING
参数设置
To move the cursor between the fields, use the up / down arrow keys or the Enter key; do not use other keys for this purpose.
As soon as a figure is digitised, the red background highlighted Datum value is deleted. By using the Enter key or the down arrow-key, the set value is stored.
By entering a letter or a sign different from “-“ or “.” during these data input, the message \"NOT CORRECT !\" will be displayed and the edited Datum will be zeroed. So, move the cursor on the wrong Datum and enter a valid value.
If the operator enters a value out of the min./max. limits, an alarm will appear at program starting describing the wrong parameter.
By entering a number having two decimal points, a RUNTIME ERROR will appear and the machine will have to be shut down.
如果在几个菜单之间设置参数,使用向上/向下箭头或ENTER键来移动光标,不要使用其它按键,当输入的数据确认后,数据值上的红色高亮颜色会消失。 使用ENTER键或向下箭头可以保存设定值
如果在输入数据时输入的字符中有“-” 或“.”,会显示 “not correct! ”的错误信息并且被编辑的位置会被清零。所以,输入字符或数据时注意一定要输入有效值。
如果操作者输入的值不在最大、最小值范围内,在程序启动时会出现警报,显示参数错误信息。
如果输入的数字有两个小数点,那么就会出现RUNTIME ERROR错误信息,机床会停止。

WORKPIECE SKIM STORAGE
工件加工位置存储
To store the axes machining dimensions, proceed as it follows: Position the control on JOG mode.
Move the wanted axis up to the desired position by using the \"+\" or \"-\" push-buttons or the electronic hand wheel.
Now, press the vertical push-button relating the wanted axis.
The push-button will light on for approx. 0.5 seconds, to indicate the storage has occurred. If the storing dimensions for Y or V axes are exchanged, the program will launch an alarm. These values will remain unchanged until these push-buttons are pressed again.
During a plunge cycle storage, the Y axis dedicated push-button will be only one in order to avoid storage errors.
During the manual machining, the plunge cycle can be obtained by storing the Y axis dimensions on the same position.
When using the universal head the B axis must be memorized first. 保存轴的加工位置步骤如下:
将系统调到手动模式下, 使用+、-按钮或手轮将目标轴移动到指定位置。 现在,按目标轴相关的垂直位置记忆按钮 按钮将亮大约0.5秒,显示参数已经保存。
如果Y轴或V轴的保存尺寸交换,程序就会发出警报。

在手动加工中,Y轴方向保存一个与起始位置相同的参数时(Y轴位置不动),机床会执行切入式加工。 使用万能磨头时,必须先记忆B轴的位置。
After saving, the buttons will change colour to confirm this operation: 保存后,按钮的颜色会发生变化以确定此次操作生效。
These values will remain unchanged until these push-buttons are pressed again. 再次按下这些按钮之前,相应的数值保持不变。

Frequency of the work increment
If set to 0 the work increment will take place at each reversal of the head (Y axis) If set to 1 the work increment will take place at each rear reversal of the head If set to 2 the work increment will take place at each front reversal of the head If set to 3 a cycle with multiple plunges is performed, that is:
Roughing stage with a cycle of consecutive plunges up to desired finish level, the number of plunges depends on grinding wheel width and on workpiece width, plunge width is automatically calculated by the machine.
Activation of cut in the air, when present, at the start of each single plunge (with this operation machining time is significantly reduced).
Jog semi-finish stage or continuous semi-finish stage without increases to recuperate roughing debris.
Conventional finish stage. Values: min= 0 max. = 3 进刀方式设定

During plunge cycle you can enable, with this parameter, a movement of the translation axis during spark-out cycle. The value entered here will correspond to the translation value of Y2 axis.
This function improves superficial quality.

N.B. To perform multiple crowning you must respect the following rule:
(Table work range + R117 ) > [(no.workpieces -1 * centre distance) + workpiece length] in which work range is the difference between the two table inversions and R117 is the corrector for crowning start.

The name of the program must start with “ISO” and have the maximum length of 8
characters, otherwise the “NOT CORRECT” message will appear and the Datum will be deleted. In plus the sub-program containing the profile must be memorized in the ISO workpiece program, already present in the machine.
N.B. If an ISO program is used for the profiling of grinding wheels you must consult the
“Fundamental programming concepts” Siemens manual. In plus it is necessary to change the name of the V axis with the geometric Y axis to be able to use the tool radius correction. E.g. of ISO program 包括ISO概要的程序名。

MACHINING OF A WORKPIECE WITHOUT STORAGE

To machine a workpiece for which the program with the data set is not to be saved in the memory, after entering the parameters and saving the positions of the axes, simply select AUTOMATIC and press the \"Start cycle\" softkey.The machine will run the set program. Press \"[M]\" to move from the USER menu to the MACHINE menu; in this way, the displacement of the axes will be displayed.
The machining data will remain saved until modified by the user.

WORKPIECE MACHINING WITH STORAGE
使用存储好的程序加工零件
To machine a workpiece for which you want to memorize the set parameters it is necessary to proceed as follows:
Make sure Siemens keyboard selector is in position 2 (green).
Once all parameters are entered and the axes ranges are memorized press the “CREATE PROGRAM” softkey program which is present on each page.
At this stage you will be requested the name of the program that must have the maximum length of 15 characters.
By pressing the enter button the machine will display the list of the “workpiece” files that exist in the machine, select the desired file (not the ISO file, which is dedicated to the grinding
wheels), than press the “SAVE” softkey. Doing so you create a program with t “U_” characters in front (E.g. Name of workpiece =pippo, program name = U_pippo)
In such way all the user’s programs will have “U_.....” as start, being in such way univocal. At this point go from the USER menu to PROGRAMS menu, press the WORKPIECES softkey select the workpiece in which the program was memorized than press enter. In this workpiece you will find the name of the memorize program.
Select the latter by using the up-down arrows, then press the SELECTION key.
Press the “[M]” key (you will return to the MACHINE menu) make sure selection has occurred by checking that the name of the requested program is displayed at the top of the screen, then press the cycle start key.
N.B. Make sure in pressing “SELECTION” that channel 1 is selected.
N.B. Also the “MAIN” program must be present in the selected workpiece file.

STORING A PROGRAM WITH MORE THAN ONE SURFACE

In the case you need to machine several surfaces in sequence you must proceed as following: Memorize, as described in previous chapter, as many programs as the surfaces to be machined.
At this point go from USER menu to PROGRAMS menu, press the WORKPIECES key and select the workpiece in which the programs were memorized and then press enter. In the workpiece you will find the names of the memorized programs.
Press the NEW softkey and then enter the name of a program by entering MPF, text editor, as program type than press the OK key.
Enter, as instructions in the new program, the names of the programs created with the aid of graphics (one for each line) and “M30” at the bottom. E.g. U_PIPPO U_PLUTO U_MINNIE M30
When part-program is completed press the SELECT softkey.
Press the “[M]” key (you will go back to MACHINE menu), make sure selection has occurred by checking that the name of the requested program is displayed at the top of the screen, then press the start cycle key.

there are 2 parameters for the correction of the origins at user’s disposal:
these parameters are resident in the PARAMETERS menu under the GLOBAL USER’S DATA 2 item and they are defined as ORG_AX_Y and ORG_AX_Z, these parameters are added to the origins stored in auto learning and they are active at all cycles with the exception of the cycle with workpiece range. Example of programming: ORG_AX_Y=0 ORG_AX_Z=0.1 U_TEST

The U_TEST program is preformed by moving the origin of Z axis by 0.1 mm in positive direction then the correction is zeroed for U_TEST2 program.
N.B. Always remember to zero these correctors once the program is finished to avoid any collision.
